Program

AQUA LUV offers unique, safe and effective, one-on-one lessons with only your child and the Instructor in the water,  different  from  traditional swimming lessons, always putting first safety of the kids, emphasizes competence, which leads to confidence, and provides the foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment in and around the water.

Every child develops at his own pace and their learning depend  his or her age and developmental readiness, but in all cases, at minimum,  your child will learn to roll on to his or her back to float, rest, and breathe, and to maintain this position until help arrives.

Infants six to twelve months can learn to

Children who are walking (1-6 years) can learn to

Hold their breath in the water roll from a face-down position to a face up back float relax and breathe until rescued by an adult perform these skills fully clothed particularly active infants may also learn to propel a short distance through the water between two parents. Learning these skills takes approximately 20 to 24 lessons.

Hold their breath in the water swim with their face in the water to the steps, side, or parent roll over onto their back when they need to breathe flip back onto their tummy to continue to swim until reaching their destination, or roll to their back should they need to breathe again perform these skills fully clothed The timeframe for mastering these skills is typically 20 to 24 lessons.

After your child is done with the program we encourage to keep practicing what (s)he learned, in a group or individual lessons.

Maintenance Program

Refresher Lessons

Aqua Babies

Once your child is done with the Swim-Float-Swim program (S)he can come once a week to keep practicing and improving what (s)he learned in a 10 minutes personalized lesson.

We recommend you to come back the next year; your baby may need updates not because (s)he will forget his skills, but (s)he will outgrow them.

Especially during the first two years, babies’ rapid growth causes their center of gravity to shift, which affects their ability to float.

Experience indicates that your child will retain most of what he learns. However, a child will lose his self-confidence. Refreshers are ready in approximately in 8 to 12 lessons.

Babies 7-30 months who have completed private lessons and have acquired basic survival skills need to practice what they have learned for maximum retention.

Toddlers experience the fun of water exploration within a relaxed group setting.

Once a week, parents and toddlers interact with each other while they swim, float, sing and play together in the water. This class reinforces our philosophy of safety skills first, followed by water enjoyment and ultimately proficient swimming.

Fun Days

Strokes n' Floats

Pre-Competitive

Stroke School

Children 2.5 to 4 years who have completed private lessons and have mastered the ability to swim-float-swim need to practice their skills to maintain confidence and improve retention.

Aquatic professionals agree upon the importance of play in the learn-to-swim process and the negative effects of time spent out of the water.

Fun Days are an aquatic adventure that will change your child from a survival swimmer into a recreational swimmer, and perhaps even a swim team participant.

The structure and curriculum vary according to instructor, but include an exciting array of water toys, animal floats and games. Whatever the age or activity, your child will have such a good time that he probably won't want to get out of the pool at the end of the class!

The Swim-Float-Swim sequence serves as the foundation for learning correct stroke technique.

Children who can swim and float are able to transition into stroke development with ease.

This class serves as a transition between Fun Days and Precompetitive Stroke is the ideal way to introduce more advanced skills to accomplished 4 year olds.

Also continue your child's aquatic learning process using techniques that are an extension of the swimming and floating skills previously learned; keep the fun in swimming by combining beginning elements of backstroke and freestyle with the activities used in Fun Day classes, and empower your child with more proficient swimming ability.

Our  pre-competitive stroke class builds on the skills and comfort previously acquired in private lessons, Aqua Babies, Fun Days and Strokes n’ Floats.

Children who complete private survival lessons (4 to 8 years) can learn to: Streamline on tummy and back, perform a correct flutter kick on tummy and back, achieve a rolling backstroke, rotating hips and shoulders, coordinate arms legs, body and head in a correct freestyle and perform bi-lateral breathing during freestyle.

As children become proficient in the freestyle and backstroke, we begin introducing the elements of butterfly and breaststroke.
